Harley Davidson released a new Super Glide motorcycle for 2026, based on the Harley Davidson 1971 Super Glide model. You can hear more about the motorcycle in the second video below. What I find most interesting about Harley's new YouTube video is the helmet they chose to use. The helmet used in the first video is called Stars & Stripes, and the design did not originate with Harley Davidson. As the story goes, the helmet design originated with Peter Fonda, and the helmet was first used in the movie Easy Rider. The helmet was probably made by bike builders Cliff Vaughs and Ben Hardy. It is said, Peter Fonda was afraid to ride the new custom choppers for Easy Rider, so he had the helmet made for safety reasons.
