Is this one of the worst factory color combinations ever used on a Kawasaki KLR? The KLR I'm talking about is a mostly black and very dark green 2026 Adventure model with some yellow/orange and silver stickers to accent the radiator side panels, and the silver part on the saddle bags. The dark green is so dark it's hard to see a difference between that and the black on my computer. When I first saw this motorcycle I thought Kawasaki made a mistake in the description by calling it "dark green." To me it looked like the bike was all black, but no, it was me who made a mistake. It really is dark green. Every year since 2022, the silver things on the saddle bags Kawasaki calls a "Panel," is another distraction. You can actually get these panels in different colors for the top case, but only silver color is available for the saddle bags. I never understood why Kawasaki blacked out the KLR models, but thinks making these panels silver was a good idea. I have a feeling most people take the saddles bags off and attach a top case like I've done in the past to my second gen KLR. Kawasaki must sell a lot more top cases than saddle bags if different color panels are only available for the top case.
I paused for a little while between paragraphs, then went back and looked at the motorcycle again, and maybe it's not as bad as I first thought, but it's definitely not in the top ten in my opinion? The bike may look a lot better in better lighting.
I walked through a furniture store once, and they had dirty mattresses leaning against the wall that picked up dirt when they were slid across the floor. I asked the furniture salesman how he expects to sale dirty mattresses, and he said there is a sucker for everything. He is right! Everything is subjective, so what I think is bad, another person might not care at all or thinks it's the best thing since apple pie. But one thing I think most of us can agree on are those silver saddle bag "panels" need to be painted. I've always thought that since the panels came out in 2022 for the new KLR saddle bags, and I think I'm right since Kawasaki came out with different colored panels for their better selling top case.
