Yes, mopeds are still manufactured and sold in USA. The first video is a SSR Motorsports Lazer 5 moped. The moped has a traditional moped design, but I think it's been discontinued. The second video shows the SSR Motorsports Lazer 6 moped. It has a design that looks more like a bobbed motorcycle. Both mopeds come with a 50cc, 4 stroke engine, but as you will see in the second video, many people are swapping out the engine for a 125cc SSR engine.
I don't know if the traditional moped will ever become popular again, but if gas prices keep rising you will see more 2 wheeled vehicles on the road. One advantage a moped has over a scooter or motorcycle is many places don't require insurance or registration to own and drive one, or the regulations are a lot less strict for mopeds.
