Some Funny Motorcycle Crashes
« on: January 23, 2020, 05:31:30 PM »
Here are a few funny motorcycle crashes recorded and hosted on YouTube that stick out in my mind. I'm pretty sure everyone survived and is OK today.

This guy seems inexperienced and is showing off for the camera. A bad combination! It also reveals just how heavy big touring bikes are.

Another rider showing off. I'm not sure what happened here but it looks like he over applied the front brake and locked up the front tire, which than skidded out from under him.

This is one of my favorites. The impact of hitting the bump transferred to her butt and sent her sailing into the air. Hope she is OK. LOL!

Another favorite. This guy just doesn't know how to ride a motorcycle and runs right into a fence. LOL!

I don't think this one is funny, but I'm including it because its amazing how fast this guy was stopped by a gate. I'm sure his bike is bent and he felt terrible the next day. It's impossible to stop quickly on a dirt road. A few years ago I was riding 40 mph on dirt road and a tree had fallen over and was laying across the road. I couldn't stop and I hit the tree. Luckily the tree was small enough that the bike rolled over it instead of me crashing. When I was 4 or 5 I was on the back of a motorcycle with my cousin and we hit a barbed wire fence. It was impossible to see the fence until it was too late to stop. We both flew off the motorcycle and ended up on the side of the dirt road. I must have landed on him because I don't remember ever having a scratch or bruise on me. Riding on dirt roads is fun, but it can be dangerous.

I think the number #1 thing any rider can do to avoid a serious accident on the road is to first learn how to ride and control your motorcycle and never ride over the speed limit. The faster you go the faster your reaction time must be and the more space you need to stop. Everything starts to work against you the faster you go.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
