How Boomers Were Taught to Hate (Themselves)

I found this video to be very interesting. Even if you disagree with the person, I think you have to agree that movies and television are a powerful tool for propaganda. Its an art filled with subtleties and its very effective and powerful. I mentioned this in an earlier post about Hollywood, Harley Davidson and outlaw biker clubs and how easily Hollywood can flip public opinion. Ask yourself how public opinion on homosexuality completely flipped in support of within a short 10 years? I believe it was done through the use of movies and television. One example is the cute, funny, friendly, innocent and gay character played by Jack Black in Saving Silverman. Exposing the public to those type of fictitious characters over and over again can change how people feel about things. I can't count how many times I've seen Christianity put in a negative light in movies and television. Christianity was intentionally attacked in the 1979 movie Norma Rae, which he points out in this video. Watching a television program or movie exposes you to allowing the director, producer, writer and actors to shape and mold your mind. What a scary thought to think Harvey Weinstein had that much power over the public.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
