BMW might enter the cruiser market again with the BMW W3 motorcycle seen in the photo below, or something similar to it. The W3 uses a 3 cylinder engine with a configuration similar to a v-twin, but with one addition cylinder, and it uses push rods instead of overhead cams to save space. I don't know how many times I have read comments from BMW fans bashing Harley Davidson for still using low tech push rod technology in their v-twin engine, but now they have to admit it does offer some advantages. Last time BMW built a cruiser motorcycle was 10 years ago when they built the R1200C. See photo below...
