Gas powered cars are cheaper to drive than EV's
« on: January 30, 2023, 05:39:12 PM »
The cost for electricity has gone up. According to Anderson Economic Group the cost to drive a non-luxury gas powered car 100 miles is $11.29. The cost to drive an electric car 100 miles that was charged at home is $11.60. The cost to drive an electric car 100 miles that was charged at a recharging station is $14.40. It's now more expensive to drive a non-luxury electric car than it is a gas powered car, and if you think it's green to drive an electric car your wrong. Most electricity is generated from burning fossil fuel, not to mention the problems associated with mining metals like Cobalt used in electric vehicle batteries. The same people pushing electric vehicles on everyone will ad taxes to owning an EV making it even more expensive. I will never forget the politician who told the nation the solution to rising gas prices was to sell your gas powered car and buy an electric vehicle.

It's going to be horrible if everyone is forced to drive an electric vehicle using today's technology. Not only will you pay more, but you'll be forced to deal with problems associated with electric vehicle batteries such as recharge times and poor range. If you use your electric vehicle for things other than simple commuting these problems get much worse.
