Off Topic Posts / Why do Americans still listen to Ben Shapiro?
« Last post by smallengineshop on January 27, 2024, 05:29:04 PM »
The HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) is an organization helping to facilitate the destructive massive illegal immigration happening to America under Joe Biden, and Ben Shapiro is on a list of donors to HIAS. Even the International Red Cross has received millions to help facilitate illegal immigration into America. Money and power corrupts everything, but you have a choice. Stop supporting people and organizations who don't share your values. When Ben Shapiro comes on the radio, turn it off.

The guy who posted this made a mistake. Ben Shapiro's donations to HIAS in 2022, is between $10K-$17,999 and not $100k-$500k.

Donald Trump supports Texas right to self defense against illegal immigration, and the Texas fight against the Federal Government, and calls on the National Guard in other states to help Texas seal the border and remove illegal immigrants from America. He also promises to fix the illegal immigration problem and kick illegals out of the country if he is elected president.

Off Topic Posts / Texas fights back against the federal government

Texas is defending it's border with Mexico, and the federal government is trying to stop it. From my understanding Texas governor, Greg Abbott, isn't backing down.

What happens when you allow a criminal President and his administration to run the executive branch of the federal government? Is the result civil war? It seems to be moving in the direction of conflict. The longer Abbott holds the line, the bigger example he becomes for other states. A house divided cannot stand.

Here is governor Abbott's statement on Texas, which is true for all other states, constitutional right to self defense:

I just noticed in the Harley Davidson catalog for police motorcycles they now have a police version of their popular Road Glide model. Also, at the back of the catalog under "other motorcycles police departments have purchased and customized" is the Pan America 1250 Special.

I haven't been paying attention, so I don't know when this change occurred.

In 1947 Hollywood released the movie Dark Passage, starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. The movie is based on the 1946 novel, Dark Passage, and is available to watch for free on Tubi.

Several Harley Davidson FL motorcycles appear in this film, which I think are all California Highway Patrol motorcycles, but they could belong to the studio. In a couple of scenes you can clearly see the motorcycle engines distinct rocker boxes that gave this engine the nickname Knucklehead.

The Harley Davidson Knucklehead engine was manufactured from 1936 to 1947. Dark Passage was released during the last year of production for the Knucklehead engine. In the following year it was replaced by the Harley Davidson Panhead engine.

The Knucklehead engine is a 45 degree, OHV, v-twin engine with 2 valves per cylinder. Displacement was around 1200 cubic centimeters. A kick starter was used to start the engine. Power from the Knucklehead engine was fed through a 4 speed manual transmission and chain final drive on FL models. I believe the cost for a Harley Davidson FL motorcycle in 1946 and 1947 was between $600 and $700. A 1946 or 47 Harley Davidson FL motorcycle today in excellent condition, I would think would be worth over $100,000, or close to it.

Dark Passage is a good film and I recommend everyone watch it. American films were different back than. Nobody was pushing a homosexual agenda. Men were men and women were women. Nobody in public life was confused about their sex, and if they were it was hidden, and rightfully so. Racial discrimination wasn't policy back than. You hired who you want. Hollywood was required to adhere to the Hays code, which made them walk a moral line. American films were better back than.

Off Topic Posts / My Epson XP-330 ink jet printer
« Last post by smallengineshop on January 22, 2024, 06:37:23 PM »
I own a Epson XP-330 ink jet printer. I can't remember what I paid for it, but I do remember thinking it was priced right. However, unknown to me at the time was the high cost of buying ink cartridges. This little printer eats ink cartridges faster than a cop eats donuts, and it will cost $100's a year if you print pages everyday. It's so expensive I put the printer in the closet and stopped using it, and nicknamed the printer "Evil Printer."

An emergency happened that forced me to free Evil Printer from the closet and use it once again, so I powered up Evil Printer and the first message I got was your out of black and cyan ink. Yes, even though I have the printer setup to print black grayscale only, Evil Printer still finds a way to use color ink. I ran to the store and bought all 3 colors and 1 black ink cartridge and returned to Evil Printer. I'm now another $40 dollars in the hole, and I have yet to print a single page. I replaced the empty ink cartridges and proceeded to print a document, but nothing prints. The black ink isn't working. I guess because Evil Printer has been sitting in the closet for so long the print nozzles are plugged. So I spend the next 45 minutes running a printer head cleaning utility program over and over again until it prints correctly. During this print cleaning session Evil Printer ordered me to replace all the other old ink cartridges, and refused to continue until I did. I replaced the ink cartridges and continued on. Finally, I get the result I'm looking for. I prepare to print my first page since unleashing Evil Printer back into my life. I successfully print one page before Evil Printer sends another message saying "black ink is low." UGH!

Off Topic Posts / Donald Trump was a WWE wrestler
« Last post by smallengineshop on January 20, 2024, 06:06:15 PM »
Donald Trump was part of a WWE wrestling show called Battle of the Billionaires. He competed with Vince McMahon, owner of WWE, with each competitor choosing a professional wrestler to represent them in the ring. The loser had to shave off all their hair. Neither Trump or McMahon ever steps into the ring to wrestle, but Donald Trump does attack Vince McMahon just outside the ring during the match. Trump was wearing his typical business suit with a pink tie. I guess you can say Donald Trump was a wrestler for about 5 seconds.  ;D

Milford Regional Medical Center will deny a patient medical care if they violate their code of conduct. A code of conduct inspired by the same values and ideas that want children to surgically remove their body parts that don't align with their perceived gender. Yikes!

Paging Dr Frankenstein, your wanted in surgery room 666.  ;D
