Yep! great advice...
Except. Spent the week of May 10th to 16th riding in the Blue Ridge Mntns in NC. I get about 220 miles per tank, and hadn't realized there was a run on gas until all the stations around were out. My buddy only gets about 120 MPT. I had to siphon mine to get him back. We waited it out for two days, no riding, until the local WalMart (Murphys) got a fresh supply. We carried a one gallon red can with us for a day as backup for my buddy.  By Monday the 17th things were recovering okay. So, you are correct 70 MPG gets you 210 miles out of a three gallon tank! plus a little left for your buddy!
