Title: Triumph Motorcycle Ad - 1973
Post by: smallengineshop on August 11, 2019, 06:18:28 PM
This 2 page ad appeared in 1973 and was created during a time when Triumph was having huge problems competing with Japanese motorcycles. In fact, this is the same year Triumph's parent company, BSA Group, shut down BSA motorcycle's because of financial problems.

This ad pits the Triumph motorcycle against one of the most iconic motorcycles in motorcycle history, the Honda CB750 Four, and tries to convince the reader a better rider will choose Triumph over Honda. I wonder if this ad was successful? I have a feeling if the Triumph marketing team responsible for this ad could go back in time they might make a different ad.
